Chinese Pepper Chicken in Oyester Sauce

  • Chicken breast or thigh 1 Kilograms
  • Garlic 1 Teaspoons(chopped)
  • Scallions 4-5 Nos
  • Shallots 1 Nos(chopped)
  • Soya Sauce 2 Teaspoons
  • Oyester Sauce 2 Tablespoons
  • Sugar 1 Teaspoons
  • Pepper 1 Tablespoons
  • Cornstarch 2 Tablespoons
  • Cornstarch dissolved in water 1 Tablespoons


  • Wash and clean the chicken pieces and cut into cubes.
  • Marinate the cubed chicken pieces with cornstarch,soya sauceand pepper powder.Keep this aside for minimum 30 mins.
  • Heat oil in vok and deep fry these chicken pieces and keep aside.
  • In the same vok heat oil in high flame.
  • Saute garlic in oil until it become fragant then add scallions,capsicum and onions.
  • Now add the soya sauce,oyster sauce and sugar and stir the mix well.
  • Now add the dissolved cornstarch to this mix and stir well until the mixture begins to thicken.
  • Now add the fried pieces to this mix and stir well.
  • Remove from heat and garnish it with some chopped spring onions.
  • Serve hot
  • Tastes yummy if serve with any fried rices or noodles.
